One of the things I keep running in when trying to create the perfect world is the ground not getting properly hydrated. I tried having a large body of water so there would be more clouds and just shortly after that I would make a large mountain which would then stop most if not every cloud of passing and basicly forcing them to rain on the mountain. This however did not work and then I thought by myself that there could be another factor in play such as wind or maybe even a low world temperature making it that water would evaporate much slower and create less rain clouds. There is however no way to check this so I thought: that would be a very good idea. I don't know how many different factors are taken into consideration with this game but at least one of the things I would like is to at least be able to see which areas have a high chance of rainfall.

Sort of minecraft's f3 debug screen which displays usefull information
